Why was my donation unable to be made in my selected currency?

On rare occasions, our online payment provider WorldPay needs to convert a currency at the time of a donation - this is often due to the particular credit or debit card used.

WorldPay explain that "any online transaction can take various routes along the payment process, depending on the credit card type you are using and the currency selected."

This means that if there is no "route" for the credit card you are using, the payment system is forced to convert the currency/amount of the transaction in line with the first available route for the credit card type.

We apologise if this case has occurred to you - unfortunately this is beyond our control. We will however continue to record such instances and pass on the information to WorldPay.
