Guide to your company donation statement

Your company donation statement contains a record of all the donations your company has made or facilitated through ammado.

Donations that your company facilitates includes any donation made using gift cards that your company has purchased and distributed to clients or customers, and donations your company is matching or any donation made through your company giving widget.

These donations are all detailed on your company donations statement whether they are made on ammado.com, on your own website, through our API or made through your company matching program.

You can access your company donation statement by logging in and clicking the Giving menu and then selecting "donations statement".

Your statement contains an overview section at the top with information about the donation totals and the number of donations to date.

Underneath the overview section, the actual donations display - the latest donation displays first at the top. Each donation is summarized to display the date, unique number/id (the "Ref"), the donor name and email address (unless anonymous), the beneficiary (nonprofit or fundraiser) that received the donation, the payment method, the amount and the status. A quick donor search option is available above the donations table along with an option to filter the donations.

If you wish to change the view of the donations, you click the "Filter Donations" option. This displays a range of filters that you can use to analyze your donations - or find certain donations.

At the top right of the page, an option displays to download your statement. When you download your statement, you can view "all" the information about your donations in your spreadsheet application. The download file will open as a CSV - which is generally opened by Excel.

The information presented in the download file is extensive:

Date: The "Date" column displays the date the donation was made - for example 2012-01-20.
Ref: The "Ref" column displays the unique reference number of each donation - this is provided by ammado.
First Name: The "First Name" column displays the donor's first name. This may not display if the donor has donated anonymously or is not logged in to ammado (the "first name" is not required to complete a donation).
Last Name: The "Last Name" column displays the donor's last name. This may not display if the donor has donated anonymously or is not logged in to ammado (the "last name" is not required to complete a donation).
Email Address: The "Email Address" column displays the donor's email address. This may not display if the donor has donated anonymously.
Frequency: The "Frequency" column displays whether the donation was made as a "once off donation" or if the donation is set to repeat automatically.
Donor's Country: The "Donor's Country" column displays the Country the Donor is from (from donor's details).
Beneficiary: The "Beneficiary" column displays the name of the beneficiary receiving the donation.
Donation Source: The "Donation Source" column displays where the donation was made - for example, on ammado, on Facebook, through the ammado donations API or through a Giving Widget embedded on another website. If the donation was made on another website, the "Donation Source" column displays the Giving Widget ID. This ID comprises a label describing whether the widget was embedded by a company, nonprofit, individual member or a "guest" (someone who is not logged in on ammado). The second part of the column entry provides the unique ammado identity number of the company, nonprofit, member or guest. For example, the entry may display "Company Widget #1234", "Nonprofit Widget #1234", "Member Widget #1234" or "Guest Widget #1234".
Payment Method: The "Payment Method" column displays whether the donor paid for the donation with an online method (generally a credit or debit card), an ammado donation gift card or through an ammado giving program (a batch/spreadsheet upload or a company matching program).
Fundraiser Name: The "Fundraiser Name" column displays the name of the Fundraiser the donation was made through (if applicable).
Fundraiser ID: The "Fundraiser ID" column displays the ID number of the fundraiser the donation was made through (if applicable). This displays as the full website address (URL) of the Fundraiser on ammado.com so you can view the particular fundraiser.
Fundraiser Created By: The "Fundraiser Created By" column displays the name of the person or organization that created the fundraiser (if the donation was made through a fundraiser). In brackets, the entry provides the unique ammado identity number of the company, nonprofit or individual.
Donation Currency: The "Donation Currency" column displays the currency in which the donation is made. This can be in any of over 75 currencies supported on ammado. It displays as a three-character code defined by the International Standards Organization (ISO) - for example, the Euro currency will display as "EUR".
Donation Amount: The "Donation Amount" column displays the amount donated in the "donation currency" (explained above).
Status (Ref): The "Status (Ref)" column displays the status of the donation. Generally, this will be either "Pending" (still being processed, which usually takes less than 2 days but can take up to 7 days) or "Settled" (processed).
Extra Information: The "Extra Information" column can display custom donor information when a Giving Widget is embedded on a corporate intranet - for more information, see our API documentation. If the Giving Widget is not embedded on a corporate intranet, this column will be empty.
