Guide to your fundraising statement
Your fundraising statement contains a record of all the donations made to your fundraiser through ammado. These donations appear as individual entries and each one can be examined in detail. A daily email is sent to the moderator or moderators of the fundraiser a link that will open up the fundraising statement.
Your fundraising statement is also accessible from your Donations menu.
We have introduced two new aggregate views for your fundraising statement. View by Donor Country shows donations received by your fundraiser grouped by country of donors. View by Nonprofit aggregates donations by nonprofit beneficiary.
If you wish to change the view of the donations, you click the "Filter Donations" option. This displays a range of filters that you can use to analyze your donations - or find certain donations.
The information presented in the download file is extensive:
Date: The "Date" column displays the date the donation was made - for example 2012-01-20.
Ref: The "Ref" column displays the unique reference number of each donation - this is provided by ammado.
First Name: The "First Name" column displays the donor's first name. This may not display if the donor has donated anonymously or is not logged in to ammado (the "first name" is not required to complete a donation).
Last Name: The "Last Name" column displays the donor's last name. This may not display if the donor has donated anonymously or is not logged in to ammado (the "last name" is not required to complete a donation).
Country: The "Country" column displays the country of the donor.
Beneficiary: The "Beneficiary" column displays the name of the beneficiary receiving the donation.
Donation Source: The "Donation Source" column displays where the donation was made - for example, on ammado, on Facebook, through the ammado donations API or through a Giving Widget embedded on another website. If the donation was made on another website, the "Donation Source" column displays the Giving Widget ID. This ID comprises a label describing whether the widget was embedded by a company, nonprofit, individual member or a "guest" (someone who is not logged in on ammado). The second part of the column entry provides the unique ammado identity number of the company, nonprofit, member or guest. For example, the entry may display "Company Widget #1234", "Nonprofit Widget #1234", "Member Widget #1234" or "Guest Widget #1234".
Frequency: The "Frequency" column displays whether the donation was made as a "once off donation" or if the donation is set to repeat automatically.
Payment Method: The "Payment Method" column displays whether the donation was paid with an online method (generally a credit or debit card), an ammado gift card or through an ammado giving program (payroll or matching).
Donation Currency: The "Donation Currency" column displays the currency in which the donation is made. This can be in any of over 80 currencies supported on ammado. It displays as a three-character code defined by the International Standards Organization (ISO) - for example, the Euro currency will display as "EUR".
Donation Amount: The "Donation Amount" column displays the amount donated in the "donation currency" (explained above).
Approximate Exchange Rate: The "Approximate Exchange Rate" column displays the exchange rate used to calculate the donation currency amount into the currency specified for the fundraiser.
Approximate Fundraiser Amount: The "Approximate Fundraiser Amount" column displays each donated amount in the currency specified for the fundraiser. It is calculated using the "Approximate Exchange Rate" (explained above).
Comment: The "Comment" column displays the full message included with a donation if any was entered.
Status: The "Status" column displays the status of the donation. Generally, this will be either "Pending" (still being processed) or "Settled" (processed).
